Description:

Hannibals last battle. Carthages elephants were useless because Rome opened up its ranks. Roman cavalry decisively defeated Carthage cavalry. The infantry's then engaged and the fighting was a fierce stalemate for awhile until the Roman cavalry returned from defeating Carthage's cavalry and attacked the Carthaginian infantry from the back.

Battle marked the end of the Second Punic War. Rome imposed harsh sanctions on Carthage which would never allow them to challenge Rome's dominance in the Mediterranean again.

Rome: 4,000-5,000
