Description:

Hernan Cortés and his army peacefully greeted the Aztec emperor, Moctezuma the 2nd. They tricked him and held him as a prisoner. Once Cortés had defeated the other people of the empire, he killed Moctezuma. Shortly after he took over all of the Aztec Empire. This was very important because a decade after, another conquistador conquered another empire.
