The vacuum tube (also known as the “electron tube” and “valve tube”) was invented by John Ambrose Fleming in the year 1904. This device is a glass tube with electrodes in order to control the flow of electrons, and were used on other devices during the early 1900s, such as TVs, radios, and phones.
