Description:
An agreement signed by Spain and Portugal that attempted to settle conflicts over newly discovered land. It was decided that between the Portuguese Empire and the Crown of Castile, along a meridian 370 leagues west of the Cape Verde islands, off the west coast of Africa, would be the division line.
