Description:

First women's rights convention held in the U.S. Mostly caused by the lack of rights or equality compared to those of men. Not only did it start women's rights movement, it also proved to be supporting other movements that were of importance at the time, such as abolition and even better treatment of mentally ill. The convention came out with a resolution called the Declaration of Sentiments which called for the equality of women and men by disregarding any laws that place women in an inferior position.
