Treaty signed in Ghent, Belgium that ended the War of 1812. Caused by the War of 1812 and the issues that arose because of it. Biggest impact was that it gave the U.S western territory but didn't stop war once it was signed because neither British nor American forces were not informed of the treaty.Added to timeline:
