Description:

Required the colonies to house British soldiers in barracks provided by the colonies

Causes:
Many British soldiers had been dispatched to the French and Indian War (AKA The Seven Years War) to the colonies

Effects:
Parliament's shortcoming in not asking the colonies for their consent first resulted in much resentment
The opposition to this act eventually resulted in the 3rd amendment of the U.S Bill of Rights
