It all starts with Queen Victoria; Queen Victoria came to the throne in 1837; in addition, she reigned for 63 years. Her reign occupied the period known as the Victorian Period, named in his honor; this period took place immediately after the Regency and before the Edwardian period. During his reign Great Britain underwent great changes that affected all spheres of society: politics, economy, culture, science and society in general.
Globally, the British Empire became the most powerful government, both politically and economically, since almost a quarter of the world's population was under British rule.
