Description:
The Zimmerman Note was a message from Germany to Mexico stating that they would help Mexico if the United States were to join the war and would give back the lost territory in Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona to Mexico. The message was intercepted by a British code breaker and then was given to the United States.
The Zimmerman Note was one of the reasons that the U.S. joined WWI.
