(1946-1954)The Indochina war is an armed conflict that took place from 1946 to 1954 in French Indochina (present-day Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia). It results in the dissolution of this federation, as well as the exit of the French colonial Empire of the countries composing it and the division into two rival states of the Vietnamese territory. This conflict claimed more than 500,000 lives.
