The Druze revolt of 1925-1927, later called Syrian revolution, or national revolution, is the most important revolt against the French power in the territory of present-day Syria. It exploded in Jebel el-Druze to spread to Damascus, Qalamun, Hama, Golan, and southeastern Lebanon. The insurgency was led by the Druze leader, Sultan al-Atrach.
