(1916-1918)Rebellion conducted between 1916 and 1918 on the initiative of the Sharif of Mecca, Hussein ben Ali, in order to participate in the liberation of the Arabian Peninsula, then largely occupied by the Ottoman Empire, and to create an Arab State unified, from Aleppo in Syria to Aden in Yemen, inspired by Arab nationalism.
