Description: The Second National Bank was chartered for many of the same reasons as the first National Bank: in order to get rid of national debt and produce economic stability.
Causes: The War of 1812 left a lot of debt.
Impact: The Second National Bank was eventually vetoed by Andrew Jackson, being cited as a way for the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer.
