Description:
On April 13th, 1598 Henry IV signed the Edict of Nantes. This assured religious tolerance for France until it was revoked by Louis XIV in 1685. The Edict of Nantes allowed Huguenots or French Calvinists to worship publicly and stop being persecuted.
