Description:
- On May 4, 1916 German government agreed to give a warning before sinking ships.
- This was to provide safety to the passengers on the ships.
- This agreement was called the Sussex Pledge
- GERMANY STAYED TRUE TO THE AGREEMENT UNTIL FEBRUARY 1917, WHEN THEY STARTED USING SUBMARINE WARFARE WITHOUT WARNINGS.
