Description:

Mexico was desperate for their independence, so their leader Augustin de Iturbide took command of the revolutionary army. Then, in February, he issued his plan to establish a Mexican empire. In the Summer, the Spanish viceroy was replaced by Juan O'Donoju who agreed to a treaty with Iturbide. The treaty of Cordoba gave Mexico its independence from Spain after 3 centuries.
