The battle of Cannae
Description:
Hannibal provoked a battle at Cannae by attacking a small Roman force that was stationed there. Soon after he was set to battle a Roman force that was greater than his in number. Hannibal's uses his strategical genius to deploy his troop in a way to trap and encircle his Roman enemy giving him the victory in this battle.
This battle strategie led the way for different battle tactics. Instead of just having your solider clash head on a tactic which usually favored the greater numbers. It uses each sub group of soilders with different skill set to encase and slaughter the enemy.
