They felt unrepresented and mistreated. Acts such as the stamp act and intolerable acts are examples of unfair taxing.
Historical impact - This was the beginning of the United States as a free country. The historical impact of this war is massive because without it nothing in the country would've never happened and we would've never gained our freedom.
