Description:
This movement had a purpose of stopping people from consuming too much alcohol. It got to the point that people were drinking too much, it was first passed in Maine. The goal was to temporarily have people stop drinking with an ending goal of prohibiting it completely. This movement led to the involvement of people in other newwer movements.Added to timeline:
