Description:

Passed by U.S. Congress which allowed people of Kansas and Nebraska to decide whether they allowed slavery within their respective state.

Cause
There was an increased debate over mixed complications over the balance between slave and free states.

Impact
This formulated the idea of Popular Sovereignty which was the idea that states could cause whether they supported slavery or not. This is also repealed the Missouri Compromise.
