mar 5, 1770 - Boston Massacre
Description:
After the occupation of Boston and much of New England by the British, tensions ran high. What began as a street brawl between American colonists and a lone British soldier quickly escalated into a slaughter. British soldiers shot and killed five people while under harassment by locals.
Such an incident promoted anti-British views, though the perpetrators recieved a fair trial in court 7 months later.
