Description:
Following the victory in the 7 years war, the British North American colonies acquired the Ohio River Valley from France, but in order to avoid further conflicts with Native Americans, they restricted settlement West of the Appalachian Mountains. This angered colonists, as they wished to settle in the territory they just fought a war to acquire. This created a larger desire for independence.Added to timeline:
