A significant piece of the women’s movement was the Roe v. Wade decision. Roe v. Wade ensured that in 46 states, that women would have access to safe and legal abortions. This decision was incredibly controversial because it’s opposers considered abortion murder. The supreme court decided that because it was the women’s body, it would be her choice whether she would abort the baby or not.
