jun 22, 1944 - Sudden Change: G.I. Bill (Post WW2)

Description:

https://opensiuc.lib.siu.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1342&context=uhp_theses

This bill was made by FDR to re-integrate Veterans into society by providing funds for loans and education to them. This made sure that Veterans from WW1 were able to receive the benefits that were delayed. This also made sure that WW2 Veterans coming out of the war and at the end of the war were able to reintegrate into society. This shows how the government at the time had taken a bigger responsibility for its veterans. It had also taken a different stance to its veterans, instead of shooting at them for protesting peacefully, the government answered them and did what the Veterans wanted.
