Description:

This alliance was set up between France, Britain, and Russia, supposedly against German aggression. All three powers felt threatened by Germany, Britain by sea colinasation - and Russia and France by it's expansive into their empires.

However, this alliance only lead to the Kaiser being more bitter as he felt encircled by the three powers.
