The Battle of Normandy also known as "D-Day" was a battle to encircle and trap the Nazis, and was a substantial event in World War 2. approximately 150 thousand Canadian soldiers fought during this battle. Canada and the allied forces were victorious over the Nazis in this battle, but over 5 thousand Canadian soldiers were killed.
