Description:
The trade of Africans from Western Africa to the Americas. The Middle Passage was one of the 3-part economical system of the Triangular trade.
Cause: Europeans were in need of cheap/free labor to operate foreign businesses.
Effect: Led to the relocation of many Africans to the Americas. Africans worked in the Americas and soon became a part of their identity. Also provided the Europeans with free labor.
The transportation of Africans led to the creation of the predominant African-American race in the Americas who would then fight for equality.
