oct 1, 1161 - Island of the Cyclopes
Description:
Odysseus runs into Polyphemus on the Island of the Cyclopes and is trapped in his cave with the twelve men he brought. Polyphemus eats 4 of his men and Odysseus is not pleased. They trick him by getting him drunk and they stab him with a pole in the eye and Odysseus tells him he is Nobody and he believes him. While the wounded Polyphemus falls asleep they wait for him to let the sheep put which they are tied to and are patted by Polyphemus to make sure they don't escape. After Odysseus leaves he calls upon the cyclopes and he throws rocks at his ships sinking one and Odysseus tells him his name and then he asks Posiden to curse him along the way
