Description:
The Texas Revolution was when colonists and tejanos rebelled against the centralist government of Mexico.
Causes -American colonists brought slaves to Texas event though the Mexican government banned slavery. Many American settlers and Tejanos (Mexicans who lived in Texas) wanted to break away from Mexico and become independent.
Impact - Santa Anna surrendered. Texas became its own state. Texans adopted a constitution that protected the free practice of slavery. The delegates chose David Burnet as provisional president.
