Description:
When France expanded into the Ohio River Valley, it sparked conflicts with the British colonies. After a series of battles, the war was officially declared in 1756. The colonies ended up winning with victories such as at Louisbourg, Fort Frontenac. War ended in 1763.
Causes - Both the British and French wanted to extend their North American colonies into the land west of the Appalachian Mountains (Ohio Territory).
Impact - The war caused a lot of financial burden on the colonies but it did mean that they had great expansion of British territorial claims in the New World.
