Hill’s RR holding company; Morgan & Hill got massive monopoly of RR in NW → TR challenging v powerful boys; RR promoters appealed to Supreme Court (1904), upheld TR’s antitrust suit, ordered Northern Securities Company to be dissolved; Decision scared Wall Street, angered big business, enhanced TR’s image as trust-smasher;
