Pearl Harbor, located in Hawaii on the island of O'hau, was attacked on December 7, 1941. It was a surprise attack on the US Navy by the Japenese. Japan was trying to take over as much of Asia as possible but was worried of US Navy attacking them, so they planned to prevent that from happening. During the attack, many ships were destroyed and thousands of soldiers were killed.Significance - It was this attack that forced US to enter World War II
