Mary Lee - Her first activism centred on the ladies' committee of the Social Purity Society, which fought for improvements in laws relating to child labour, young women's employment and the age of consent. She served under the role of a secretary for the WWTUL (Working Women’s Trade Union League). She also helped form the Women’s Suffrage League of SA, being the secretary.
