aug 18, 1920 - 19th amendment is ratified - women can now vote in USA

Description:

THe 19th Amendement granted the Women in th USA the rights to vote. It was a significant event as without this amendement, USA was legaly discriminating against females. Of course, women were still oppressed after it was passed, but at least not legaly anymore. A country can not be free for only half of its inhibitants.
