2013 - first outbreak 35k people in french Polynesian
2014 - Virus discovered in Brazil
2016 - Cases reported everywhere

Symptoms: 70-80% of people didn't show signs
20 - 30% showed: headache, rash, low-grade fever, red eyes, flu-like symptoms.

Prevention: Sleep under bed net, insect repellent, long sleeve clothing, get rid of stagnant water

Risks: Microphaly (shrunken baby heads), Guillian-Barre Syndrome (Paralysis in hands, feet, or lungs - symptoms: muscle weakness, can potentially go away.

Zika can be sexually transmitted but it is mainly transmitted by mosquitos
