Description:

his was the murder of thousands of Huguenots in Paris due to their religious beliefs and political influence over the King during the French civil war. It was ordered by Catherine de Medici and kicked off a number of atrocious killings that all happened during the religious struggle France. Actions like this helped to prompt a number of individuals among Catholics and even moderate Protestants to form a group called the politiques who wanted peace and civil order above all else.
