Description:
The wholly divided Germany finally came to a conclusion on the religious aspects of its internal strifes. Each state in the HRE was allowed to choose between Lutheran and Catholic, though individual citizens could not choose for themselves. This is a greater victory than the creation of a Calvinist Geneva because it gave the Protestants free space and the possibility of being accepted in many areas throughout the HRE.Added to timeline:
