jan 1, 1469 - Union of Aragon and Castile (1469)
Description:
The marriage between Ferdinand of Aragon and Isabella of Castile united Spain, but without much fanfare other than political. The pieces still spoke different languages and had different cultures but they recognized the monarchs being together. This would eventually lead to a more united Spain in later centuries.
