jan 1, 1471 - Mysticism (1471)
Description:
Generally the idea that humans are able to communicate directly with God. The importance of this lies in the beginnings of the ideas that one does not need the church to lead to justification. (Palmer 71) This idea of “lay religion” is considerably more important than Christian Humanism because it leads to the early ideas of the Protestant Reformation.
