Description:
A people group that was heavily forced out of Spain during the 17th century. They were Islamic in origin, and provided Spain with a great deal of productivity and promises of Christianity. (Palmer 129) They are to be contrasted with the French Huguenots because their ultimate persecution in Spain likely led to the downfall of the country.
