Description:
The most notable of the Northern Humanists, known for his scholarship and commitment to his faith. Also known for attacking the corruption he saw in the church, but not the religion of Roman Catholicism. (Palmer 72) Much more notable that Francesco Petrarch due to his role during the time of the early Reformation.
