apr 7, 1964 - McLuhan - The Medium is the Message
Description:
The phrase "the medium is the message" was popularized by Marshall McLuhan in his work Understanding Media. McLuhan implied that the way which information is relayed is often as important, if not more so, than the message itself. This way of thinking largely impacts any medium, as whatever the popular perspective is at the time by those who control information is how most will see the product.
This works with the ideas brought by Wertham's Seduction of the Innocent in that if any particular video game is deemed "bad", eventually some people will believe that they all are.
