Steamboat
Description:
The first American steamboat used commercially, which was a critical turning point as it indicated the potential for water transportation. In order to power it, fuel needs to be burned to warm the water to become steam, adding pollution to the air. Also, the waterways can become polluted by the steamboat’s output or overboard goods and materials.
