Description:
They freaking did it. More than 3,000 feet in less than two hours. Alex Honnold and nine-fingered big wall legend Tommy Caldwell slimed down the record over a period of a few weeks, often climbing the Nose up to three times a day in an effort to have as many shots as possible at getting below two hours. They skimped on safety in order to increase speed, using techniques that made 100+ foot falls possible and common on their dozens of ascents within that short period. It's unlikely this record will be broken any time soon, if ever.
