may 20, 1913 - Niels Bohr
Description:
He worked in his father's lab in Denmark in his early career. He also worked with J.J Thomson. He discovered that electrons travel in different or orbits or rings and that the outermost one determines the properties of that element. Taking what he found from J.J Thomson, Rutherford, and Max Planck he was able to determine that they do in fact go in rings around the nucleus. He came up with this idea to give reason to the fact about how electrons can have stable orbits around the nucleus.
