Description:
The first battle of the Revolutionary War was at Lexington and Concord. The British soldiers were marching towards the town of Concord in an effort to capture the colonist’s military supplies, and to arrest John Hancock and Samuel Adams. They were met by the American militia, and shots were exchanged. On their way back from Concord, the Americans opened fire on British Soldiers, killing over 70, and gaining their first “win” of the war.
