dec 16, 1773 - Boston Tea Party

Description:

After the unpopular Tea Act of 1773, colonists became increasingly angry and began to protest the sale of British tea, and ships that brought British tea to America. The Boston Tea Party was when over 60 colonists, disguised as Native Americans, snuck onto a ship filled with British tea, and dumped in into the Boston Harbor. This was a rallying point for the colonists because they felt that they’d hurt the crown.
