The battle of Tippecanoe was a battle between the United States and the Indian tribes of the Northwest Territory, with this being around what is currently Indianapolis, Indiana. In this battle, the United States defeated the Indians, which allowed for the migration of settlers further West into Indian land. This had powerful influence because this land that opened for US settlers provided many more economic opportunities and also gave the United States a much larger land area for more states and representation.
