Sep. 18 1850, slavery issue
A law which compelled northern non-slaveholders to seize and return escaped slaves back to the South. Prohibit them from helping slaves to escape further. Also was bad for free black people because sometimes white people thought they were runaway slaves and they were cought and sent to south.
