aug 2, 1858 - Rejection of the Lecompton Constitution

Description:

In this Constitution, free blacks could not live in Kansas. Also, women could not vote with this constitution enforced. This was rejected by the people August 2nd, 1858. This caused Kansas to enter as a free state dividing the South and the North by the Southerners being angry for its rejection
